Federal Inventory of Natural Landscapes, Sites and Monuments of National Importance (IFP) (FR)

The Federal Inventory of Landscapes and Natural Monuments of National Importance (BLN) represents the first federal inventory according to NHG. Precursor is the KLN inventory, a work published by the private organisations in the first edition of 1963, which has been periodically supplemented and revised. The BLN contains a total of 162 objects which, due to their beauty, character, extent, scientific, ecological or/and cultural geography, are unique from a Swiss or European point of view or can be characterised as type landscapes that are particularly characteristic of a particular landscape region of Switzerland. The Federal Inventory forms the annex to the Ordinance and contains the exact territorial boundaries and the descriptions of the individual objects.
