Life crisis and experiences of loss in adulthood

This volume is a result of a Conference at the University of Trier, Germany, in July 1989. The goals of the Conference were (a) to provide an overview of recent advances in research on critical lifc events and losses associated with them, (b) to stimulate new approaches to the analysis of these events, and (c) to compare the psychology of victims' experiences of stress and losses with the psychology of observers' reactions to those victims. Papers presented were thoroughly discussed by a panel that represented a good deal of expertise in this field of research. The volume is organized into six interrelated parts.
