Polyethylene is one of the most important plastic types with the highest consumption in China. Our previous study found that polyethylene microplastics (PE-MPs) are mainly enriched in fish intestines and discharged through feces. Microplastics particles constantly rub the intestinal wall and cause inflammation. Five groups of exposure treatments were prepared, which were control (0 mg/L), T1 (1 mg/L,), T10 (10 mg/L,), T100 (100 mg/L,) and T1000 (1000 mg/L) in adult zebrafish. We analyzed 15 samples from five groups in adult zebrafish with 16S high-throughout sequencing to analyze the change of microbiome.
