资源简介:
This dataset contains oyster gape and temperature measurements obtained from six oysters using a newly-developed sensor and data transmission system. Measurements were obtained at the University of South Mississippi's Gulf Coast Research Laboratory (GCRL) in Ocean Springs, MS, from 2018-08-10 through 2018-09-03. The system consists of a Hall Effect sensor and a small magnet affixed to the shells of the oyster; the sensor produces a voltage proportional to the distance to the magnet and thus the gape length after the initial (closed-shell) measurement is subtracted. This dataset supports the publication: Ali, A., Ali, K., Ukpebor, A., Hasan, M., Addy, J., Ikome, O., & Abu-El Humos, A. (2019). Hardware and Software Components of an Oystersâ Gape Measurement System. American Journal of Engineering and Applied Sciences, 12(3), 319â328. doi:10.3844/ajeassp.2019.319.328
