This data set contains six excel files, which were created to investigate and test a DC fault management strategy for HVDC grids integrating customized hybrid modular multilevel converters (CH-MMCs). The data set includes results of converter voltages and currents, converter active and reactive powers, converter arm currents, arm chain-link voltages, arm currents, line voltages and currents under various pole-to-pole and pole-to-ground DC faults
