Based on transaction data of transportation cards and QR codes, this dataset provides passenger flow statistics for ground public transit and ferry routes across the Shanghai municipality, with the statistics available at temporal granularities of year, month, day and hour. It can be applied to scenarios including urban planning, transportation planning, traffic management and operation, emergency command, scientific research, site selection and advertising placement.
