Acquired chemoresistance significantly limits the efficacy and deteriorates the prognosis of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients receiving cisplatin-based chemotherapy. Huaier granule has been approved by the Chinese Food and Drug Administration as adjuvant medication for NSCLC patients receiving standard cisplatin-based chemotherapy as Huaier granule could relieve side effects of chemotherapy. However, the potential regulatory role of Huaier granule on cisplatin resistance and its downstream targets remains unknown. Therefore, transcriptome sequencing of cisplatin-resistant A549 cell treated with Huaier aqueous extract or PBS was performed to identify the potential downstream targets.
