A pot experiment with rapeseed plants grown in arable soil collected from the CarboZALF-D research fields in Dedelow (Germany). Subsoil was added to elucidate the impact of simulated erosion. Crops were harvested at two time points (rosette growth stage and flowering growth stage) and rhizosphere soil was collected from the fresh roots directly after plant harvest. rRNA of the samples was depleted before random cDNA synthesis and library preparation, samples were sequenced in two runs on paired end Illumina (2x150 bp) aiming for at least 45 million read pairs for each sample per run.
