Aggregated country-pair trade volume dataset derived from Global Trade Tracker, 2025

This dataset contains aggregated annual country-pair import trade metrics derived from Global Trade Tracker (GTT) for the 2025 reporting year. The dataset summarizes imports from exporting countries to target/reporting countries. Trade data were requested from GTT using default reporter datasets and all Harmonized System (HS) sections (`S01` to `S21`). Commodity groups were accumulated at the HS section level and then aggregated to country-pair totals. The dataset therefore does not retain commodity-level detail. This design was chosen because the intended Trade Score represents broad trade-mediated entry pressure, including potential pathways associated with commodities themselves or with accompanying materials such as wood packaging material. The primary trade metric is `trade_volume_kg`, which represents total annual trade quantity in kilograms where GTT returned or converted the primary quantity unit to KG. Because not all GTT records can be converted to kilograms, the dataset also includes `trade_value_usd` as a supplementary trade-intensity measure and unit coverage diagnostics, including `pct_trade_records_kg`, `n_trade_records_non_kg`, `units_reported`, and `non_kg_units`. Rows representing aggregate partner regions rather than individual countries were excluded from the package-facing dataset because they cannot be matched directly to country-level pest occurrence or pest presence data. Rows with zero trade volume and zero trade value were also excluded.
