"Abstract: This dataset comprises simulated hyperspectral reflectance data of farmland shelterbelts, generated using the LESS radiative transfer model. It accounts for key structural and biophysical parameters, including shelterbelt width, porosity, canopy height, leaf area index (LAI), and background soil conditions. Spectral simulations cover the visible to shortwave infrared range (400\u20132500 nm) with customizable viewing geometries. The data are specifically designed for estimating above-ground biomass (AGB) of shelterbelts through radiative transfer model inversion or machine learning approaches. This dataset provides a valuable basis for remote sensing retrieval algorithms and supports ecological assessment and monitoring of farmland protection forests. It can also be used to test sensitivity of vegetation indices to AGB variations in shelterbelt systems."
