Building Footprints

This dataset represents the building footprints for unincorporated Boulder County. The data is updated continuously from building permit records and when new aerial photography becomes available. All permanent buildings generally over ten by ten feet in size, that have a roof, and are habitable are mapped. This includes structures such as houses, commercial buildings, manufactured housing, garages, sheds, silos, agricultural buildings, etc. Stand-alone photovoltaic arrays are also mapped. Temporary, mobile or minor structures such as RV’s, yard and play equipment, swimming pools, pergolas, trellises, fencing, retaining walls, light poles, and signs are not mapped. The location of the mapped buildings are NOT survey accurate, they only show the approximate location of the building. When buildings are overlaid on aerial photography, the buildings may not align with the apparent location of the buildings on the aerial photography.
