Comparing social and nonsocial aphid species. Pemphigus

This project contains transcripts from both a social aphid species (P. obesinymphae) and a non-social aphid species (P. populi-caulis) at two developmental stages (1st and 4th instar). Larval P. obesinymphae and P. populi-caulis from four clones respectively were sorted by instar, and for both, RNA was extracted from pooled samples of 50 1st instar nymphs and pooled samples of five 4th instar, resulting in eight pooled samples in total (2 species x 2 samples of 1st instar larvae x 2 samples of 4th instar larvae = 8)
