Aquilaria sinensis (Lour.) Spreng comparative transcriptome raw sequence reads

Aquilaria sinensis is economically significant non-timber forest which can produce agarwood under wound stress. Agarwood is a valuable Chinese medicinal herb and spice widely used in Southeast Asia and highly traded on the market. However, the lack of highly responsive Aquilaria line seriously restricts agarwood yield and development of industry. In order to quickly identifying and breeding highly responsive Aquilaria line, a transcriptome analysis was carried out between ordinary A.sinensis and Chi-Nan germplasm that is an A.sinensis tree with high agarwood-producing capacity in response to wounding stress.
