biofilm metagenome Genome sequencing and assembly

Using Frasassi biofilms as a model system, investigators are combining metagenom- and metatranscripomics, correlative electron microscopy, and geochemistry to develop new understanding of S(0)-accumulating biofilm communities. This project aim to improve the understanding of the mechanisms of S(0) deposition and the metabolic capabilities of currently uncultured Epsilonproteobacteria.
