Daten zur Umfrage: Vorbeugender Grundwasserschutz - Anpassung der Landbewirtschaftung zur Reduzierung der Nitratverunreinigung im Grundwasser

This is data on an expert survey conducted in 2019 at the Institute of Wastewater Management and Water Protection in Hamburg Germany. The aim of this survey was to identify ways to adapt agriculture to reduce nitrate inputs to groundwater. Additionally, it was intended to investigate whether organic farming is the solution to the nitrate problem in groundwater, whether far more measures are needed, or even fewer regulations are enough. Furthermore, factors influencing a conversion to organic farming were considered. The survey included 14 questions and was distributed directly by email to individuals and through associations and other technical channels. A total of 30 individuals from water management (n = 8), agriculture (n = 15), water as well as agriculture (n = 3), and other disciplines (n = 4) responded to the survey. The survey results were processed in detail in a master's thesis. Part of the results were presented at the „32. Hamburger Kolloquium zur Abwasserwirtschaft“ at TUHH in the talk „Zukunftssicherung von Wasser und Nahrung: Förderung wassergerechter Landwirtschaft durch die Wasserwirtschaft“ and published in the conference proceedings: 32. This dataset contains the questionnaire "20230220_Umfrage.pdf," a complete listing of all answers "20230628_umfragedaten_full" (.ods and .xlsx), and a tidy-sheet excluding the direct text answers "20230628_umfragedaten_tidy.csv".
