Biogeographic distributions of methanotrophic communities along a latitudinal transect from tropical to cold temperate forests

In this study, we evaluated the geographic distributions, assemblies and driving factors of methanotrophic communities across 26 latitudinal forests along a 5,000-km north-south transect in China using a MiSeq high-throughput sequencing technique. The assemblies and drivers of the methanotrophic communities were evaluated using the phylogenetic null model approach and partial least squares path modeling, respectively.
