LFMC-SE: Satellite-Enhanced Global Live Fuel Moisture Content (LFMC) Data, Daily at 9 km — Part 1 of 2
收藏资源简介:
This dataset provides global daily estimates of Live Fuel Moisture Content (LFMC) at 9 km spatial resolution, derived using the SPARKY model formulation and enhanced with satellite-based inputs. The product integrates Vegetation Optical Depth observations at L-band from SMOS (Soil Moisture and Ocean Salinity), Solar-Induced Fluorescence from TROPOMI (TROPOspheric Monitoring Instrument), and Leaf Area Index (LAI) data from CLMS (Copernicus Land Monitoring Service) to estimate vegetation water content across diverse ecosystems worldwide. Data are provided as compressed .tar archives, with each archive containing one year of daily LFMC data (see README file for details on handling the data and metadata on file naming and organization). This dataset supports a wide range of applications, including large-scale vegetation moisture monitoring, wildfire danger assessment, drought analysis, and ecosystem response studies. It is particularly suited for use in fire risk modeling, vegetation–climate interactions, and long-term land surface dynamics research. This record represents Part 1 of 2 of the complete dataset. The remaining portion is available in Part 2, accessible via its Zenodo DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.17459691 Together, these records deliver a comprehensive global dataset of daily Live Fuel Moisture Content (LFMC) at 9 km resolution, satellite-enhanced and spanning 25 years (1999–2024) of vegetation moisture dynamics.
