This repository contains the simulation files, input data, and processing scripts supporting a multi-scenario shallow and compaction study using coupled iMOD/MODFLOW and NATSUB3D frameworks. The dataset enables reproducible 3D geomechanical and hydrogeological modeling of both shallow and deep compaction processes under varying groundwater extraction scenarios. The repository is organized around three modeling strategies – Global, Sequential, and Staggered – each representing a different coupling approach between the MODFLOW-based groundwater model (managed via iMOD) and the NATSUB3D geomechanical solver. Scenarios cover constant-rate, progressive, and no-pumping conditions, with material definitions provided for Sand, Silty Clay, and Soft Clay. Automation is handled through iterative batch scripts (.bat), iMOD run configuration files (.run), and Python scripts that manage path updates, ASCII raster conversion, and node sampling between successive model iterations. Output formats include .dat (tabular data), .IDF (raster data), and .vtk (3D visualization). Requirements: iMOD/MODFLOW 2005, Python 3.x, Windows operating system.
