Beyond Pitch: Age and Patient-Reported Outcomes After Wendler Glottoplasty — Research Data, Code, and Supplementary Material
收藏资源简介:
Beyond Pitch: Age and Patient-Reported Outcomes After Wendler Glottoplasty — Research Data, Code, and Supplementary Material This repository contains supplementary research materials associated with a retrospective cohort study of 149 transgender women evaluated before and 12 months after Wendler glottoplasty combined with postoperative voice therapy. The study investigated two principal associations: (1) age and postoperative sustained-vowel fundamental frequency (F₀), adjusted for baseline F₀; and (2) individual F₀ gain and changes in the Trans Woman Voice Questionnaire (TWVQ), adjusted for age and baseline measurements. Speaking fundamental frequency (SF₀) was evaluated as a complementary exploratory outcome. The supplementary material provides additional methodological and statistical information through five tables and two figures: Supplementary Table S1: Sensitivity analysis excluding participants with the maximum baseline TWVQ score of 120. Supplementary Table S2: Regression diagnostics, including heteroscedasticity testing, influential-observation screening, and residual distribution assessments. Supplementary Table S3: Exploratory regression analysis of 12-month TWVQ scores. Supplementary Table S4: Age-related associations across alternative regression specifications, including spline models and influential-observation sensitivity analyses. Supplementary Table S5: Additional models examining the association between acoustic frequency gain and TWVQ change, including semitone transformations and speaking F₀ analyses. Supplementary Figures S1–S2: Unadjusted associations between age and sustained-vowel or speaking F₀ gain. The statistical methodology includes heteroscedasticity-robust HC3 standard errors, Holm adjustment for the two principal sustained-vowel association tests, regression diagnostics, and exploratory sensitivity analyses. The repository also includes a machine-readable data dictionary and R/Python scripts for data import and basic quality-control checks. These scripts do not constitute the complete statistical analysis pipeline and do not independently reproduce all supplementary models or manuscript results. Data availability: Individual-level clinical data are not included in the public repository package. Access to research data may be requested from the corresponding author, subject to ethical approval, participant confidentiality, and applicable data-protection requirements. These materials support transparency, methodological assessment, and future research into acoustic and patient-reported outcomes following gender-affirming voice surgery.
