OBIS-SEAMAP is a thematic node of the Ocean Biogeographic Information System (OBIS), focusing on spatial ecological analyses of marine megafauna. This database integrates distribution data for species including marine mammals, seabirds, sea turtles, sharks and rays, and contains data from multiple sources such as global surveys, satellite telemetry, acoustic monitoring, photo-identification, citizen science and more. OBIS-SEAMAP supports quantitative analyses of global marine species distribution patterns and biodiversity, providing data support for marine conservation and research.
