Isolation Lytic phage to control E. coli O157:H7

Enterohaemorrhagic E. coli (EHEC) is a worldwide cause of infection in humans and animals. Strains belonging to the O157:H7 serogroup, especially O157:H7 were associated with outbreaks and sporadic cases throughout the world. The use of bacteriophages as a therapeutic agent is one possible option. In current study, we characterize the newly isolated phages that infectious to O157:H7. For further characterization, we also identified phage's receptor by generating phage-reistance strains and performed whole genome analysis of those strains.
