Borrelia burgdorferi sensu lato sequence reads and genome sequences

To understand the evolutionary history of the Borrelia burgdorferi sensu lato species complex, we used NGS sequencing to obtain a strongly supported phylogeny of many genospecies belonging to this bacterial species complex. We associated host and vector associations to this phylogeny which provides an understanding of their impact on diversification of the bacteria.
