Tg(panTro4_chr17:42623488-42624568::LacZ) chimp neural crest enhancer with reproducible activity in the anterior forebrain, anterior midbrain, hindbrain, and optic cup. This enhancer is weaker in the forebrain and midbrain and lacks the expression in other domains associated with the orthologous human enhancer, demonstrating human biased activity in this domain when comparing these two species.
