资源简介:

The front (S side) of the prominent headstone of James McKinlay, 'tacksman of Inverchagernie'. This is the most visible and only upright stone left in the graveyard. The other remaining stones are recumbent slabs now completely covered by turf. The McKinlay family are thought to have lived at Anie in the 17th and 18th centuries. Anie Farm lies about 500m to the NE of St. Bride's Graveyard, to the opposite the A84 main road. The stone has an ogee-style top and beneath is the carved head and wings of an angel. Beneath is the inscription on a relief tablet : 'Sacred to the memory of James McKinlay late Tacksman of Inverchagernie who died Feb 4th 1825 aged 65. This stone erected by his beloved wife Elenora Cameron. To his left lie the remains of his son Peter who died the 4th of June 1828 aged 31 years'. Source: Objaverse 1.0 / Sketchfab
