Molecular mechanisms underlying retinal degeneration are not well characterized including in the widely utilized Royal College of Surgeons (RCS) rat model of retinal degeneration. To better understand molecular pathways driving retinal degeneration we performed mRNA transcriptomics on RCS retinas following the natural progression of the disease. This data can identify novel therapeutic targets for future development.
目前视网膜变性的分子机制尚未得到充分阐明,包括当前被广泛应用的皇家外科学院(Royal College of Surgeons, RCS)大鼠视网膜变性模型。为更深入解析驱动视网膜变性的分子通路,本研究针对该疾病自然进展过程中的RCS大鼠视网膜开展了mRNA转录组学分析。本数据集可助力发掘潜在的新型治疗靶点,为后续研发提供支撑。
