Transcriptome analysis of the CgHOS2 knock-out mutant

The histone deacetylase CgHOS2 encoding gene was knocked out from genome of Colletotrichum gloeosporioides hevea. Conidia of WT were cultured in vitro to induce appressoria; then the appressoria were collected and RNA was isolated. Hyphae of WT and the CgHOS2 knock-out mutant were collected from the two-day old liquid medium, and their RNA was isolated. In addition, the CgHOS2 knock-out mutant could not form normal appressoria.
