Cyclic behavior of low-cost walls built with timber frames and composite cane panels embedded in cement mortar. Full-scale wall specimens, each differing in geometric and material properties. Key behavioral aspects such as stiffness, strength, energy dissipation, and ductility were studied. Special attention was given to construction provisions, including mortar strength, the inclusion of galvanized wire mesh reinforcement, and the presence of windows, which were assessed for their influence on wall performance. The results offer critical data for validating more detailed numerical models and demonstrate that these low-cost walls can provide a viable solution for earthquake-resistant construction, particularly in regions with limited resources.
