THE PROBLEM OF THE LITERARY CHRONOTOPE IN UZBEK LITERARY STUDIES: THEORY, POETICS, AND NATIONAL SPECIFICITIES.

Abstract. This article examines the issue of the artistic chronotope in Uzbek literary studies from two perspectives: both historical-literary and theoretical. It examines the scientific foundations of chronotope studies, which are linked to M. M. Bakhtin`s theory, and identifies the distinctive features of this category in Uzbek philological scholarship. Particular attention is paid to the relationship between the categories of artistic space and artistic time, their significance in the poetics of a work, and the expression of the national specificity of the worldview. It is revealed that Uzbek literary studies views chronotope as an important form of embodying historical memory, as a structural-poetic element of a work, as well as a cultural environment and a form of national thinking.
