PeopleAndWriting - Method - Graphic analysis - Template

Structured template designed to capture palaeographical observations through the methodological framework developed within The Secret Life of Writing: People, Script, and Ideas in the Iberian Peninsula (c. 900–1200) (ERC StG 850604). It provides a stable layout for recording letterforms, diagnostic features, degrees of variation, and recurrent patterns of execution, so that observations remain consistent, comparable, and traceable across different witnesses and hands. The template is intended as a working and standardisation tool: it helps translate close graphic inspection into an organised set of analytical notes and structured entries, supporting both within-corpus and cross-corpus comparison, as well as reuse in research workflows and advanced teaching contexts.
