Field data was collected in a group of four by the placement of 25 quadrats (1m x 1m) in the grassland near the Stong Pool at York University on September 23rd, 2014, at around 4:00 pm (the temperature was approximately 21°C). Plant abundance and variation was estimated with respect to the area within the quadrats. The percentage of vegetation coverage in the quadrat was also compared to the percentage of grass.
