Tree Canopy Cover - 2017

<p>The data was created by Spatial Analysis Lab at the University of Vermont as a part of the Tree Canopy Assessment for Canada’s Capital Region, a collaborative project by the National Capital Commission, the City of Gatineau, and the City of Ottawa. The mapping of 2017 tree canopy cover establishes a baseline for future comparisons and provides necessary information for work under the City of Ottawa’s Urban Forest Management Plan.</p><p><strong>Citation:</strong> Spatial Analysis Lab UVM, City of Ottawa<br /><strong>Date Created: </strong>September 16, 2025<br /><strong>Update Frequency:</strong> As required. Quality control also included a removal of all features with an area of less than 2m2.
