Map visualisation service (WMS) of the dataset: Noticeable Wetlands (ZHR — Linear) on the Rhine-Meuse Basin

The remarkable wetlands of the SDAGE Rhin Meuse are home to exceptional biodiversity and have a minimally preserved ecological status. They correspond to integrated wetlands: — in national or regional nature reserves — in Sensitive Natural Areas (ENS) or Remarkable Wetlands (ZHR) designated by the Departments, or, in departments without designated ENS or ZHR sites, in Natural Areas of Floristic and Wildlife Interest (ZNIEFF), Natura 2000 sites or sites affected by a biotope protection order. Their membership in these zonings or inventories gives them the characteristic characteristic of a remarkable wetland. This remarkable character may not concern non-wet areas according to the criteria of Article R.211-108 of the Code of the Environment, or areas occupied, before 1 January 2010, by agricultural use of plowed cultivation or by urban use. They are the subject of special provisions in the Rhine-Meuse SDAGE, which explains their availability in specific zonings.
