This study was conducted to investigate the mechanism that regulates embryonic development in order to provide theoretical basis for improving in vitro embryo production (IVP) in the yak (Bos grunniens). Total RNA of yak embryos derived from in vitro fertilization (IVF) were extracted at 2-cell, 4-cell, 8-cell, morula and blastocyst stages and amplified via the Smart-seq2 method, and finally RNA libraries were constructed and sequenced using the Illumina RNA-seq method.
