The dataset covers 119 county-level administrative regions (counties, county-level cities, districts) under the jurisdiction of 11 prefecture-level cities (districts) in Shanxi Province, namely Taiyuan, Datong, Yangquan, Changzhi, Jincheng, Shuozhou, Jinzhong, Yuncheng, Xinzhou, Linfen and Lüliang, and contains county-level transportation and communication development indicators from 2001 to 2023. A total of 11 indicators are included, such as highway mileage, total telecommunications business volume, fixed telephone subscribers, mobile telephone subscribers, and internet broadband access subscribers.
