Circular Economy in the Creative Industries Grey Literature Raw Data

The research investigates the current status of the circular economy in the creative industries. The research has four strands of which analysis of the green literature between 2018 and 2024 (inclusive) is one. The attached items are work products produced by a text analytics pipeline developed to analyse the grey literature.The pipeline takes text snippets from web searches (around 300 tokens in size), performs various filtering, cleansing and simplification actions before performing text analytics. The pipeline then generates a master csv file containing the results of the processing. This master file is then used to produce the final outputs used for publication.The snippets are not preserved.About the csv filesThe Grey-Raw Data file contains the results of analysing 4,921 snippets of text extracted from the grey literature. Each snippet is mapped onto an industry sub-sector, one or more R strategy associated with the circular economy, a source type (e.g., is to a government item or industry guidance), a level in the Multi-Level Perspective (landscape, sector regime, niche), practical orientation (Y or N), and circular economy framework if mentioned.The remaining .csv files interpret entries for each of the columns.How the 12R mapping worksThe text analytics pipeline (see file FigA1.png) takes each snippet and then applies a custom model that was developed using single-shot learning to identify the clusters of individual keywords associated with each of the 12 Rs used in the research. The json file contains the base model mapping.
