ECMWF daily maximum soil (upper 0-7cm) temperature exceedance of 27°C - Kent (UK), 2022
收藏资源简介:
Science Case Name Multi-hazards in the Southeast UK region Dataset Title ECMWF daily maximum soil (upper 0-7cm) temperature exceedance of 27°C - Kent (UK), 2022 Dataset Description This dataset consists of a multi-layer image, where each layer represents the individual date within 2022 and pixel values for each date representing where the ECMWF daily maximum soil temperature in layer 1 (0-7cm) has exceeded the temperature threshold of 27°C, the threshold indicated by the UK Met Office to signify a heatwave in Kent. Data was generated using code developed within the Goolge Earth Engine online platform and output in GeoTIFF and ENVI format for interoperabilty and comparative analysis within GIS. Key Methodologies Calculation of pixel threshold exceedance of 27°C for each date in the 2022 daily soil temperature variable (soil_temperature_level_1_max) multi-date image stack, coded in Google Earth Engine online platform. Output in raster format. Temporal Domain Daily: 1st January 2022 to 31st December 2022. Spatial Domain Geographic extent covering the region of Kent, Southeast UK. Bounding Box Dimensions: Upper Left (51.49°N latitude, 0.035°E longitude) and Lower Right (50.91°N latitude, 1.45°E longitude) Dataset in WGS84 decimal degree geographic coordinate system. Approx. 0.01° x 0.01° spatial resolution. Key Indicators Daily binary image stack indicating where pixels exceed the temperature threshold of 27°C, temperature threshold indicated by the UK Met Office to signify a heatwave in Kent.
