The main objective of this study was to isolate probiotic bacteria from yogurts in Bangladesh, and investigate the probiotic gene expression against MDR E. coli by transcriptome (mRNA) analysis. Thus the ultimate goals were as follows: 1. Isolation of probiotic bacteria from yogurts in Bangladesh, and selection of probiotic bacteria which have antimicrobial activity against multi-drug resistant E. coli. 2. Conducting whole genome sequencing to unveil the genomic attributes for the plausible probiotic traits of the isolated probiotic. 3. Performing biochemical tests and Transmission Electron Microscope (TEM) experiments relevant to the inherent genomic probiotic features of the isolated probiotic. 4. Transcriptome analysis of the selected probiotic, expressing inhibitory effect against MDR E. coli.
