The COMPASS comprises a set of regulatory subunits, especially CFP1 is indispensable for H3K4 trimethylation, while CSP40 deficiency (CFP1 yeast homolog) in yeast will lead to a global change of H3K4me3. CFP1 is a multifunctional protein with several functional domains. The RNA sequencing (RNA-seq) analysis of the CFP1-knockdown cell line revealed that CFP1 deficiency led to the extensive inactivation of cancer-associated pathways. In this study, we find that CFP1 is a poor prognostic marker for LUAD patients and promotes the malignant behavior of cancer cells.
