The High-Value Patent Database for Intelligent Instrument and Meter Management System mainly includes invention patent and utility model patent data related to catering management systems from the global patent database. It retrieves and scores the patent data using proprietary algorithms, which helps understand the intellectual property (IP) filing status and geographical layout of the intelligent instrument and meter management system. By comparing the patent data of intelligent instrument and meter management systems from different enterprises, one can grasp the technological innovation capabilities of each enterprise. Understanding the development trends and core technologies of the system helps enterprises avoid redundant R&D and intellectual property infringement.
This database is based on the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP), combining quantitative and qualitative analysis. Starting from the patent valuation method, the indicator system divides patent value into three first-level indicators: technology, law, and economy. The first-level indicators are further broken down into second-level indicators:
- Technical value indicators: number of independent claims, word count of the independent claim, remaining patent term, number of patent family members, number of cited external patents, number of times cited by other patents, score of applicant type, number of participating inventors, number of involved technical fields;
- Legal value indicators: patent type, number of document pages, number of invalidation requests received;
- Economic value indicators: number of transfers, number of licenses, number of pledge financing cases, score of patent awards, score of customs recordation.
A three-dimensional matrix is established based on the first-level and second-level indicators. Corresponding data indicators for patent evaluation are obtained through patent interface data using patent titles and patent numbers. The 1-9 scaling method (minimum 1 point, maximum 9 points) is adopted to calculate the corresponding indicator weights. The score of each indicator is multiplied by its weight, and the sum of all indicator scores is the final patent score. Patents are classified according to their score intervals: 80-100 are high-value patents, 60-80 are important patents, and below 60 are general patents. This database provides technical references and guidance for R&D personnel of enterprises engaged in intelligent instrument and meter management systems, and offers R&D decision-making support for companies. All data results mentioned in the above algorithms are reflected in the data structure.
