Soil Mapping Units - Mahoning County

This coverage was created as part of an Ohio Capability Analysis Program Land Capability Project in cooperation with the Eastgate Development and Transportation Agency and the Mahoning County Planning Commission. Soil mapping units can be used in environmental analyses, erosion analyses, land use planning, etc. They can be used to map a variety of soil characteristics such as texture, pH, depth to seasonal high water table and other information from the tables included in the soil survey.
