资源简介:
DLP: Transition to Parenthood is a longitudinal, dyadic study that follows first-time parents’ experiences from pregnancy (3rd Trimester) to 1-year post-partum. Participants completed five panel surveys during 1) pregnancy, 2) ∼ 2 weeks postpartum, 3) ∼ 17 weeks postpartum, 4) 6 months postpartum, and 5) 1 year postpartum. Participants also completed three sets of 21-day daily diaries during 1) pregnancy, 2) newborn (∼ 2 weeks postpartum), and 3) infancy (∼ 17 weeks postpartum) phases. The initial sample comprised of 62 couples (1 same-gender (female) couple) that were recruited in the Austin, TX area. Couples’ ages ranged from 19 to 54 years (mothers: M = 30.04 years; SD = 4.05; non-pregnant partners: M = 32.19 years, SD = 5.62). Most of the couples (92%) were married and the mean relationship duration was approximately seven years. Overall, the majority of the participants were white (82%), where 77% of the mothers and 87% of non-pregnant partners identified themselves as white. The DLP: Transition to Parenthood study was approved by the Institutional Review Board at the University of Texas at Austin (IRB Protocol Number: 2015-09-0026).
