Chicken tracheal responses to Mycoplasma synoviae

This project investigates global tracheal mucosal transcriptional changes in Vaxsafe MS vaccinated chickens when they were challenged with a virulent Mycoplasma synoviae field strain. The goal is to understand molecular mechanisms underlying vaccine mediated protection and disease pathogenesis. The chickens were vaccinated at four weeks of age, challenged at 8 weeks of age and tracheal samples were collected at 10 weeks of age. Unvaccinated-challenged and unvaccinated-unchallenged control groups were included for comparison.
