Colonization of free habitat which consists of 50x50 micro-habitats started from a single individual of the Species 1 and a single individual of the Species 2. P1 and P2 are the parameters of the relative competitiveness of Species 1 and Species 2, respectively. (a) The completely deterministic case of competitive exclusion when the Species 1 excludes the Species 2. Species difference in competitiveness equals 100%. (b) Competitive exclusion of the Species 2. Species difference in competitiveness equals 30%. (c) The Species 1 and the Species 2 stably coexist despite the difference in competitiveness which equals 29%. (d) The Species 1 and the Species 2 are identical in all ecological parameters (P1 = P2) and they stably coexist with close numbers of individuals. Species difference in competitiveness equals 0%.
