The fecal microbiota of two farmed turtle species under the long-term homogeneous environment

In this study, we tried to test whether there were differences in gut microbes between Chinese three-keeled pond turtles (Chinemys reevesii) and red-eared slider (Trachemys scripta elegans) through raising them in a long-term homogeneous environment through bacterial 16S rDNA sequencing using the Roach 454 platform.
