Dataset for Nusselt correlation for ellipsoidal particles
收藏资源简介:
This dataset serves as a supplement to the research publication by T. Kiwitt, K. Fröhlich, M. Meinke, and W. Schröder, titled "Nusselt correlation for ellipsoidal particles", which was published in the International Journal of Multiphase Flow (vol. 149, p. 103941) in 2022. The primary focus of this study is to investigate the heat transfer dynamics by means of the Nusselt number $Nu$ associated with prolate ellipsoidal particles under various conditions in uniform flow at Reynolds $1\leq Re\leq100$. This dataset provides a comprehensive collection of Nusselt number values derived from fully-resolved simulations of prolate particles with aspect ratios ranging from $2\leq\beta\leq8$, capturing the interplay between particle geometry and thermal dynamics in multiphase flow. It spans a broad range of temperature ratios $0.35\leq T_R\leq 1.65$ to accommodate various heating and cooling conditions, offering insights into how temperature gradients affect the heat transfer efficiency. Furthermore, the dataset incorporates numerical results obtained at inclination angles from $0^{\circ}\leq\phi\leq90^{\circ}$, facilitating an examination of the influence of the particle orientation on the heat transfer in fluid dynamics applications. It is important to note that this provided dataset represents a reduced version of the complete dataset available from our research group. The full dataset contains additional parameters and simulation results that may be beneficial for more extensive analyses or specific research inquiries.
