Isolation and Characterization of Enterococcus faecalis from Table Egg

This project involves the whole genome sequencing of Enterococcus faecalis isolated from table eggs to investigate its genetic characteristics, antimicrobial resistance determinants, and potential virulence factors. E. faecalis is an opportunistic pathogen commonly associated with foodborne infections and nosocomial diseases. Given the growing concern over antimicrobial resistance, especially in food-derived bacteria, this study aims to provide insights into the genomic features of E. faecalis from a commonly consumed food item. The resulting data contribute to understanding its epidemiology, resistance mechanisms, and potential public health implications.
