Buildings as an obstacle to sound

Block model (LOD1) for noise mapping 2017 LOD1 building heights are automatically determined by calculating an average from the heights of the laser scanner data within the floor plans. For photogrammetric measurement, the mean between first and tread height is used. Floor plans may be divided if this average deviates too much from the parts of the building (> 2 m, > 20 sqm) due to different heights of buildings and then calculates new averages of the building parts. Thus, the LOD1 block model achieves an accurate representation of the roof landscape, depending on the roof shape, the absolute height accuracy is < 3 m.
