MSL and BL1 human TNBC cell lines were evaluated by RNA sequencing in the presence or absence of docetaxel, a frontline agent for TNBC patients. Functional and mechanistic assays were performed to evaluate the chemo-resistant pathway utilized by MSL TNBCs. Efficacy of targeted therapy against a docetaxel-induced inflammatory mediator in MSL TNBCs was performed with both cell line and patient derived xenografts in female NOD scid gamma (NSG) mice.
