This data set contains the phenological monitoring of nine Silene ciliate populations located in three mountains of the Sistema Central (Spain). We counted the total number of new flowers of each plant weekly from 15 April 2014, when the first flower appeared, until 25 September 2014, when the last new flower appeared , during a total of 23 censuses.
From these data we calculated six individual-based flowering-related traits: flowering onset, end, duration, and moment, and total number of flowers.
Flowering onset and end were defined as the number of days elapsed between 1 January 2014 and the day of first and last flower of the plant appeared respectively.
Duration was estimated as the number of days elapsed between the onset and end of flowering.
Moment was defined as the number of days elapsed between the date of flowering onset of an individual and the date with the greatest number of flowers on that individual.
The total number of flowers was estimated as the maximum number of flowers a plant had at any point during the census period.
