Host-mediated microbiome selection to improve drought tolerance of rice

Applying host-mediated selection to field-collected microbial communities, we derived simplified microbiomes that enhance rice drought tolerance. Sequence data within this accession are 300bp paired-end sequences (16S rRNA V3-V4 region) from field soil and rice root samples. Root samples were harvested from plants grown in a growth chamber in calcined clay substrate.
